Effective Praying

Are your prayers effective? God desires for his children to have effective prayer lives. The Lord wants us walking in supernatural lifestyles and in order to get there, we must learn how to pray effective prayers.

James 5:16 says…

This passage points us toward how to have an effective prayer life. We have to understand these key points.

Righteousness

We are told that the fervent prayer of a RIGHTEOUS person avails… What is righteousness? Righteousness is “right standing with God.” Righteousness is easy to attain – by faith in Jesus (Romans 3:19-25). No matter what you’ve done, God will account you as completely righteous when you have faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus took your sin upon Himself. When you have faith in Him, you are “accounted” as righteous.

Right now, if you’ve sinned, ask Jesus to forgive you. Declare, right now, “Father, my faith is in Jesus.” That declaration resounds in the spirit realm as your righteousness.

Avails

James 5:16 in The Amplified Bible says that the prayer of a righteous person “makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” Wow. Your prayer will make tremendous power available. All of the power of heaven is available to back your prayers! So, with all my heart, I say, pray. Don’t worry about it sounding too hot or awesome. Just pray! Pray, right now. Pray for what you need, pray for what you desire. Pray. Pray. Pray.

Now, it’s time to pray.
