Differences Not Divisions

I kept hearing this throughout the entire week. As a body of believers, we are called to unity. Jesus isn’t coming back until the restoration of all things. One of those things is the divisions among the body of Christ! Whether straight or gay, white or black (and every other color), Mexican or Chinese, republican or democrat….. WE ARE CALLED A BODY.

When part of your body is working against the rest of your body… it’s called a disease. We need to regain our focus as the body of Christ in that we are here to stay unified under the Head of the church, JESUS. We all have our own opinions, our own ideas on how things should be run, our own agenda’s but God is the Author here, not us. We must willingly submit to each other in brotherly love.

Luke 10.27

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind and Love your neighbor as yourself.”

There are two directives in this scripture.1).Love God with everything you got 2). Love your neighbor as if it was you. Make sure you take these 2 directives today from God and apply them. If you have a hard time doing something for someone else because you feel that no one does the same for you, SOW into their life anyway. The hardest part of farming is after you plant the seed, waiting for it to sprout life. Have faith! Keep sowing seeds for a continual harvest year-round!! God is amazing and His Word will never return void. If you ever want to buy stock, buy stock in what God says.. He calls you healed. He calls you with a purpose, to give you a hope for the future. He takes your burdens and your heaviness and hands you his yoke, which is easy, and his burden, which is light. Never forget that the God you serve wanted you so bad that He came to earth to die to show us the way to live so we may spend eternity with Him. He gave us a hope, and His name is Jesus. Never again do we have to be alone.

We are ALL in this together. Everyone. Today put your differences aside. Jesus said that if we do not forgive those who have wronged us, He will not forgive us. Pray for wisdom on dealing with these issues. Maybe some differences have torn apart something very special to you. I’m living proof that God is the RESTORER! Ask Him to restore hurts and offenses in your heart so you can learn to love your neighbor again. If there is a situation that arises where you feel anger and hurt for a co-worker, friend, or even spouse here is a prayer I’ve asked God to help me with and trust me IT WORKS: “Teach me how to love this person, Lord, as you would love them.” I’ve seen it work over and over again. It’s right in line with His word, and when you ask Him for help in following His commands in His Word, He’s like a proud parent. Willing to help you.

Today just focus on past hurts and repent for keeping them bottled over the days, weeks, even years. It’s time to put away past hurts because God wants to move you into a new level and you can’t very well do that with all this baggage. Come to God today with your heart EXACTLY how it is. He will help you clean house. Give Him room to work today.. And make sure you’re ready because HE WILL MOVE IN YOUR LIFE QUICKLY!!!!!!! Restoration into your hearts today, in Jesus’ name!
